What is a Freemason?
Freemasonry
is a system of morality, veiled in allegory that produces an organized society
of men symbolically applying the principles of operative masonry and
architecture to the science and art of character building. In other words, the
goal of Freemasonry is to make good men better. Through the improvement and
strengthening of the individual man, Freemasonry seeks to improve the community.
We do this by impressing upon our members the principles of personal
righteousness and personal responsibility. We hold such ideals as liberty,
equality, and religious toleration. By enlightening the mind and promoting
peace, understanding and the basic tenets of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth,
we improve our lives and hopefully the lives of our families.
